Aconcagua.
The origin of his name is uncertain. The possibility of deriving it from the terms of Quechua Akon kahuak, which together mean "stone sentinel", is considered. Another possibility is to come from the words of the Aymara Kon-Kawa, which together are translated as "mountain snow."Sources: http://www.geoenciclopedia.com/aconcagua/
my project report - Romina Barrera
My project report.
A= Investigating.
My theme was famous people and famous landmarks, I investigate the biografía of Lionel Messi, Cheve Guera and others importante people, also I investigate videos of famous people, photos to publish when I investigate the most privius information of the famous people like when they was born, in the cases of Messi I search how did he star his carrier, what they do or see or investigate for being famous or important on Argentina and on famous landmarks I investigate the origin of the pink house, cataratas of Iguazú, the garganta del Diablo, I search how that touristic places was created and ho gives that name to each touristic places
B= Planning.
First we choose our country that it is Argentina, then we choose our theme for investigating, we deside that Dereck is going to created the blog, then Dereck created the blog, I disedie that I am going to publish at least five entry’s, but I think I publish more than five I’am going to get the most higher note, I plan that my entry’s are going to have the previous information with a photo, or a short video but that short have to seed the most and previous information, I want a short video because use when they see the video, the video it is borried
C= Taking Action
I investigate the biography of Cheve Guera, Lionel Messi etc the most important people in Argentina, the origin and history of the most important land marks like cataras of Iguazú, garganta del diablo, the pink house, also in one class at least I publish two entry’s for having the most entry’s that I can publish, I also search photo, videos of the most important places and the famous people in Argentina, on the first class we choose the topic, on gen second class I publish two entry’s, in the last class we publish the “ my project research” and I publish tree entry’s and finally we are going to present to our class.
D= Reflecting.
I always like this project because I learn information of country’s that I don’t knew, but there was also problems like; the most persons of my group pesas on a competition, they change one menber of my group that is Evaluna, they change with Ana Paula, another problem that my group have is that Dereck created the blog but when he goes to the completion, my group dint’t knew the password of his mail for publish on the blog so the solution was to created a Keynes with my mail account for publishing and having entry’s.
MY PROJECT REPORT (DERECK CAMACHO)
Criterion A:
Investigating
In the class of geography, I start this project, but first we choose the
theme we were going to present. Then I investigate about my topic that is about
Argentina’s Economy and some relations to it, by searching on reports on different
websites, also in YouTube with some videos about Argentina’s Economy, and by
some news on the TV that were talking about Economy.
I investigate separate from my group in classes and we just publish at
the end of the class, I gather this information on 4 or 5 class hours plus the
time spend on my home also researching.
Criterion B:
Planning
First, I plan to be with Sey Lin, Karla and Pietro, I plan to talk about
the economy of a country I expected that our theme would be Mexico. I plan to
publish 10 entries or more in total to the blog minimum 1 of my own production,
the entries would be 4 videos, 4 reports and 2 graphs. I plan to do it all in
class just publish the information I gather on home. Finally, we also planned
that all will be finished on Friday the 23. We plan that every class we would
do minimum 1 entry, finally we planned that Odalis would be our leader and we
expected no changes in the groups.
Criterion C: Talking
Action
When the groups were assigned the change me and put me in a group with
Romina Barrera, Ana Paula Cabezas, Mikaela Armendariz and Odalis Bahamonde. The
country that they assigned me was Argentina and not Mexico, and I talked about
the economy of these county. Meanwhile I could do 10 slides, but the majority
were small reports with images and 2 or 3 videos, I must work even harder cause
I went to the Copa Caribe and I must update on the entries, I must work on my home
not only for publishing but also for investigating. I also put sources. At the
end Romina become the leader of the group and the change Eva Luna with Ana Paula.
Criterion D:
Reflecting
During this short project we have a lot of difficulties as the exchange
of people, the trip to Copa Caribe, and the non-existence of communication
between us, but we could successfully overcome all the difficulties making all
the entries need it. My group as well as me work excellent. First, I have many
problems on the publishing on stuff in the iPad, but I beat it up by publishing
on the computer. I think that through this project I could be more inquire
because I search on many parts gathering information, open minded, because I
open to different points of view, and thinkers, because we comprehend and
understand all the information we were going to publish putting all the
sources.

My Project Report (Odalis Bahamonde)
My Project Report
A: Investigating
B: Planning
C:Taking Action
D:Reflection
A: Investigating
The topic I was assigned was the geography
of Argentina, I investigate in some hours the different themes that
where include in the big topic GEOGRAPHY , All the investigation and
the research I do it and then I published in my home, I went into different
platforms, blogs, web sides etc... So then I can have and get the
information I needed about my topic, we do this project in groups, and my
group was conform by 5 members and we do these projects because we
need to put in practice our knowledge and abilities of searchers for making
up this group project of Argentina.
B: Planning
I plan making this project in a different way; my
planed project it was going to have more entries about the topic Geography of
Argentina but the lack of time that I have was not useful for me so I can
search more information and upload more entries with information about the sub
topics of my topic to this group blog, If I will have more time I will be able
to update more information that will be useful for people that are searching
about Argentina Geography, I update some entries but they are not as many I wanted
to be, I plan to put some videos an yes I was available to do it and I create a
side with my own information.
First we make the groups and divide,
the themes that will make each one of us, then I organize my time and see what
where the sub topics of my theme that I will have to search like flag, population,
area, limits, division, language etc…, then I investigate in different blogs
and web sites each one of these themes, with the information I get from my
research I make a summarize of the most important parts finally I upload this
information and in an other entry I update a small video all of this
information is in the group blog of Argentina.
I this
project we work in group from the first moment that we divide the themes, the
interaction with the members of my group was good because all of us where open-minded,
searcher, thinkers so that will give a better result of our group project of
Argentina, I think that next time we work together we need to divide an
organize better the day we will update the information to our blog so then we
will not going to have any problem for updating so much entries in one single
day, also I have problems in the organization of my time because I don’t have enough
time for uploading more entries so in a next time I will try to organize better
so then I can cover my expectative.

La BocaLa Boca was born as a natural harbor in the Riachuelo. From 1870, La Boca began to receive a large number of immigrants, mostly Italians (Genoese). The immigrants built their houses with zinc sheets and painted them with the surplus paintings in the workshops of the port, for that reason the houses were very colorful, nowadays that custom is maintained in some sectors of the neighborhood. The houses were called "conventillos", they were collective houses where many families lived sharing common.

Day of respect for cultural diversity:
The origins of this holiday are actually the same as Columbus Day. The day was first celebrated in Argentina in 1917. Workers get the day off to spend with their family and celebrate and remember the day that Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas. The name of the holiday was changed to “Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity” because some of the indigenous people think of the arrival of Christopher Columbus a bad thing. It began as a holiday to celebrate the Hispanic influence on the Americas but has since turned into a celebration of diversity.

Devil's throat (Garganta del diablo.)
It is called dibalo throats because there was love between a prisesa and a guarani prince, in that relationship the envy of the devil was released and as the devil was furious with envy, the princess wing became the waterfall and the prince in the vegetation, but the rainbow that permanently joins the waterfall with the surrounding vegetation mocked that condemnation.

Economy
Argentina Economic Outlook
Recent data suggests
that the economic recovery has stumbled. While data from the real sector is
positive, with economic activity expanding in December and industrial
production rebounding in January, there is growing evidence that imbalances are
building. In January, a surge in capital goods imports caused the trade deficit
to widen further, and the fiscal deficit grew considerably on increased
interest payments. Prospects of growing current account and fiscal deficits are
worrying, as they could derail ongoing efforts by President Macri to reform the
economy. These two deficits, together with untamed inflation, pose a major
immediate challenge to the government. Salary negotiations between the
government and labor unions are currently underway and demands to equate salary
increases to rises in the inflation rate would inevitably increase fiscal
spending and keep the budget deficit elevated, forcing the government to
continue seeking.

Holidays and Tradition
January 6th: “Los Tres Reyes Magos”
There is a tall tale that says that the three wise men go house to house and leave presents for each child at the house. Children will leave their shoes outside to let the wise men know how many children are in the house and a present will be by each shoe the next morning. What’s nice about this holiday is it also is a good way to end the holiday season, especially for children. The parents say that the three wise men are following stars to the houses and children will leave out grass and waters for the camels. Some neighborhoods have parades, or the 3 wise men will be walking around during the day, similar to how santa is around during Christmas.
ECONOMY
Argentina against a paradoxical 2018: economic growth with more poor
In this scenario of double economic standard, the main concern should be raised on the most vulnerable sectors. Although the Government acknowledged having a historical budget in terms of social assistance, for the opposition, assistance is insufficient if only social plans are granted. In this regard, the economist Jorge Vasconcelos, vice president of the Institute of Studies on Argentina and Latin American Reality of the Mediterranean Foundation (IERAL), highlights the government's desire to "avoid the risk of the cooling of the economy" with the decision to force to the Central Bank to lower interest rates despite the fact that the measure will not achieve "lower inflation". For the economist, inflation affects much more the segment of the population that lives daily, which obtains its income in the informal labor market. "The relaxation of the inflation target is not good news from the point of view of the fight against poverty, having higher inflation is not good for the 30% of the poor that the country has."

Argentina’s Industry
Córdoba is Argentina's major industrial center. It is the center of
metalworking, especially for motor vehicle production. Argentina's other
principal industrial enterprises are heavily concentrated in and around the
city of Buenos Aires. The plants are close to both the many raw materials
imported by ship and the vast productive area of the pampas. The major
industries in Buenos Aires are food processing, motor vehicles, consumer
durables, textiles, chemicals and petrochemicals, printing, metallurgy, and
steel. Other industrial areas include Rosario, with important steel-producing
plants and oil refineries, tractor and meat-packing plants, and chemical and tanning industries; Santa Fe,
with zinc- and copper-smelting plants, flour mills, and dairy industry; San
Miguel de Tucumán, with sugar refineries; Mendoza and Neuquén, with wineries and fruit-processing plants; the Chaco
region, with cotton gins and sawmills; and Santa Cruz, Salta, Tierra del Fuego,
Chubut, and Bahía Blanca, with oil fields and refineries.

Argentina Economic Growth
The economy is expected
to grow at a solid pace this year and next thanks to resilient growth in fixed
investment and private consumption. However, a weaker currency and high
inflation will weigh on private consumption, whereas the growing twin deficits
pose a major downside risk to growth. Focus Economics panelists see the economy
expanding 2.8% in 2018, which is down 0.2 percentage points from last month’s
forecast. For 2019, growth is expected to reach 3.1%
